What will the bond dollars support?

Amazing teachers

D11 is the oldest district in Colorado Springs without additional bond dollars to pay for buildings. Aging school buildings cost more to maintain and all D11 teachers receive meaningful raises from funds freed up by this bond.

Classrooms that stay cool

When a classroom gets close to 90º, it’s hard to teach or learn. Heating and cooling upgrades at the schools that need them most.

Modern schools

Major renovations at all high schools. Eighteen new playgrounds. Modern upgrades at all schools.

Career and trades labs

Real training space for healthcare, engineering, skilled trades, and technology, so students can graduate straight into a good job.

Teachers

Great teachers. Bright futures.

The best teachers have choices about where they teach. This bond is how D11 becomes the district they choose. Nothing matters more to kids than who’s standing in front of the classroom.

I see every day what great teachers mean for kids. They build relationships, push students to grow, and serve as role models. D11 has great teachers, and keeping them here matters.

Paid like the professionals they are

Kids

Every kid deserves a school that works for them.

Kids can’t focus in hot rooms with a science lab built in 1970. This bond gives every D11 student buildings and equipment that supports their success.

Our teachers ask us to think creatively, work together, and prepare for the future, but our buildings don’t always support that. We deserve classrooms that are comfortable, reliable, and designed for how students actually learn today.

Built to let kids thrive

Schools

It's time to bring our schools into the future.

Many D11 schools were built for a different century. This bond brings improvements to every school in the district. Heating and cooling that holds up in August, safe drinking water, updated bathrooms, and classrooms built for how kids learn today.

As a parent, I expect the school building itself to help keep children safe. This bond addresses secure entrances, aging building systems, and essential repairs so students and staff can focus on learning — not whether their school will function as it should.

Ready for the next 100 years

Community

Our schools are the heart of our neighborhoods.

D11 is Colorado Springs’ original school district. Its schools sit in the middle of the neighborhoods that built this city. The ones people walk their dogs past, vote in, and graduate from. This bond is an investment in the people and places we live in.

Colorado Springs employers need skilled people. This bond will give D11 students modern labs, equipment, and hands-on learning so they can graduate with real experience, valuable credentials, and a direct path into high-demand careers.

Strong schools. Strong neighborhoods.
